The National Day of Prayer is the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. Created in 1952, a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed by President Harry Truman, this day exists to communicate the need for personal repentance and prayer. Here in Raleigh, there will be group or individual prayer walks around the legislative building from 7-11am. A prayer service will take place at the Halifax Mall, Downtown Raleigh from 12-1pm. Check-In is near the walk bridge that crosses E. Lane St. between Salisbury and Wilmington More Information
