CapitalSERVE is a weekend when the members, attendees, and friends of Capital Community Church serve the greater triangle area, for the glory of God. There is a place for everyone, from young families to elderly servants, who want to reach out to our community.

When: April 25

Saturday

  • 8:15 AM: Meet at FLC at Capital Community Church
  • 8:45 AM: Get assignments and t-shirts
  • 9:00 AM-12:00 PM: Serve at ministry sites around Raleigh

 

Who: ALL Capital members, attendees, families, and friends (this is a great event to invite friends and neighbors)

Saturday Ministry Sites

Neighborhood Outreach
13 & Older
Intentional neighborhood outreach in the surrounding areas of Capital Community Church. This may include knocking on doors and providing spiritual surveys, as well as small "grab bags" with a Gospel tract and information on our church.
Addis Jemari Ethiopia Girls Home
 K and Up
We will pack education supplies for their Family Empowerment Program families, write cards of encouragement to the students they serve, and catalog library books for the library in Ethiopia at their Family Empowerment Center.

 9 & Older 
Sorting book donations, stamping books for mailing, writing notes to prisoners, etc.
Gateway Women's Care
All Ages
Spring Cleaning, Refreshing the Gardens, Powerwashing, Collecting New Diaper Bags/Baby Supplies, Donating Replenishable Supplies
When Grace Happens Downtown Ministry Site
13 & Older
Serve the downtown Raleigh community through various ministry opportunities such as sorting clothes, street evangelism, and prayer walking.
Nursing Home Outreach
All Ages 
Serve local nursing home residents through spending time with them, singing with them, and providing gift bags.
Capital/Temple Clean-Up
All Ages
Serve Capital Community Church and Temple Baptist Church grounds through various clean-up efforts, including working in the playground, powerwashing, painting, etc.
