The Hope of Christmas: A Gift Exchange

December 25, 2011 Series: Stand Alone Sermons

Topic: Sermon Verse: Matthew 1:18–1:25

As Christmas approaches, most have a hope of receiving gifts as expressions of love from gift givers. God gave us an indescribable gift when He gave us Hs son to rescue us from our rebellion and the resulting damage in all our relationships. But He had a hope at Christmas as well, the hope of our response: that we would give Him the gift of our lives in exchange and allow Him to do the supernatural in satisfying our souls now and forever.
